The three research studies presented by RESIS Institute on the Day of Civil Society Organisations are of fundamental importance for the development of media research in North Macedonia.
The Study “The impact of new media on the formation of public opinion and on traditional media” gives a comprehensive picture of the changed audience habits in the digital environment as well as of the advertising practices in the traditional and online media. The research abounds with differed kinds of data and it is the first mapping study of the condithe online advertising market in this country.
The comprehensive study “Gender in the Media: Analysis of the gender aspects in the children’s programs of the national terrestrial television stations” - is the first multidisciplinary and innovative insight into the gender issues in the children’s television programs in this country. The Study allows the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services to design the future media policies in this important program domain.
Finally, the study “Mapping of the levels of medial literacy in North Macedonia – for the population over at age 16+” is an important contribution to the topic of audience media usage and a basis for an advancement in media literacy research.
